The importance of the thoughts and works of Prof. Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas could not be overstated. Its deep and thorough analysis of the root problems besetting the Muslim ummah as well as the global community of humankind calls for sincere introspection of one's self and one's condition.

This leads to clear articulation of the right questions and subsequently the right framework for its solution. As recounted by Yasri Shamsudin Khan, founder of the Swedish Muslim Peace Movement (SMFR), SMFR has benefitted tremendously from the educational program inspired by the thoughts and works of al-Attas.

In shaa' Allah, with sincere intention, the good works of people in SMFR would benefit the larger Muslim community in Sweden and by extension the Muslim community in Europe and the West. We are now in the process of restructuring this educational program in a more systematic and institutionalised manner.
